About Ekaakshara Preschool and Day care

Ekaakshara Preschool and Day care in Bangalore was established by Ms. Sri Vidya and partners in the year 2009. The school's mission is to nurture the kids in a second home environment with innovative methods of teaching. The school's vision is to bring out the right spirit and zeal in each kid by providing strong foundation and to prepare them for their future. Ekaakshara gives utmost importance to learning, nutrition, health, academic and extracurricular activities.

Campus facilities

The campus is a duplex building with 2400 square feet of built up area which includes classrooms with proper ventilation, illumination and play area for kids. It provides enough of play toys and necessary sports equipment. The school has a library with books and study materials numbering around 300. They have 1 computer lab and 1 language lab. All areas of school and school belongings are maintained with hygiene. Furniture like table, chairs, bean bags are kids friendly. Safety in all aspects is ensured.

Syllabus and teaching methodology

The school is affiliated to Karnataka State, the kids are given play way and nursery method of teaching. The teachers are trained for play school and preschool teaching and the teacher student ratio in the school is 1:15. Kannada is included in the syllabus.

Teaching is mainly based on activities, sometimes visual form of learning is encouraged to inculcate concepts, so tablets are also used as part of teaching. Kids are taken to field trips for places like markets, bakery, parks, malls and gardens to understand the subject as well as to take them closer to real life.

School runs from Monday to Saturday
Kids from 6 months onward can be admitted in day care. Kids from 1.8 years to 2.8 years are admitted in play school. Kids from 2.8 years to 4. years are admitted in kindergarten.
Day care from 7.45 am to 8.30 pm
School hours from 9.30 to 12.30 am
