About Sri Vidhyodaya School
Sri Vidhyodaya is a unit of Sri Valliammal Group of Institutions. It is a CBSE affiliated, co-education institution which offers education from Kindergarten to grade 5. The main aim of the school is to provide a good learning platform for junior kids. It focuses on the culture and tradition of the country and hence teaches the necessary cultural and moral values to the students along with academic education.
Academics For the Kindergarten kids, the school follows a play way and Montessori learning methodology. In a colourful classroom or a play area, the school conducts a wide range of activities to fine-tune the motor skills and sensory skills of the tiny tots. The school also teaches the kids on how to identify the alphabets with phonic sounds in languages such as Tamil, English and Hindi. Along with special love and care, the school also gives attention to each kid and helps them develop their language skills, fine motor skills, social and economic skills, logical and problem-solving skills, vocabulary skills, numeracy skills and cognitive thinking skills. Facilities Sri Vidhyodaya has a serene, natural and pollution-free campus. The school campus has buildings for the kindergarten and the junior school kids. The classrooms in the school are spacious, colourful, furnished and well-ventilated. The facilities in the school include an open assembly hall, Maths lab and a well-stocked junior library. The school supports technology-based learning and hence has a technology usage room with audiovisual facilities and a creative laboratory for exploring in photography, animation tools and art. Physical education and games give refreshment to the minds of the kids and so to increase the interest of the students on sports, the school has a yoga-cum-activity room and a play area.
Activities Sri Vidhyodaya provides sports training to the students from Class 3 to 5 in games and sports such as Table tennis, Tennis, Throwball and Football. The school gives high importance to the health of the students and hence from class I, the school teaches the students about the healthy lifestyle and the significance of food in life. To encourage the special talent of the students, Sri Vidhyodaya conducts classes on various co-curricular activities like western dance, aerobics, music, art, drawing and painting. To promote the culture and tradition, the school conducts traditional games and also teaches students about the history and the classical art forms such as Bharathanatyam and classical music.
