Pallavi Model School or Pallavi Alwal is an English medium school located at Alwal in Secunderabad. Believing in the motto, 'Knowledge is Liberation', it is among the best CBSE schools in the twin city of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It is part of the Pallavi group of schools, which has a number of branches spread across the city. With centres at Saroornagar, Gandipet, Bowenpalli, Boddupal and Tivoli, the branch at Alwal has emerged as a top school in the locality in a relatively short space of time. The coeducational school has classes running from nursery to class 12.
Infrastructure Pallavi Alwal, like its sister schools, has the latest in infrastructure, including facilities like smart classrooms, a modern library, well-equipped laboratories and has very good facilities for sports. It has tennis and squash courts, a swimming pool, a splash pool for the very young, cricket pitches and football fields. Then there is a skating rink, an indoor as well as an outdoor court for basketball and exclusive coaching for taekwondo. Training for all these sports are provided under the supervision of expert coaches.
For the holistic development of the students, they are also exposed to cultural activities like dance, vocal music, dramatics and art & craft. There are various musical instruments for students to play and learn. The dance studio, just like every professional set up, has a wooden floor and mirrors to assist the learners, be it Indian classical or otherwise. The art and craft work station is a spacious one with well-experienced art teachers to guide the budding artists. Along with these, there are literary activities like quizzes, essay writing, debates, elocution and there are opportunities for the students to take part in the various state as well as national level competitions.
Excursions and study trips are part of the curriculum. Students of class 4 and above are taken for camping, visits to historical sites and trekking. Students of class 3 and below are also taken for trips but these are day trips to places like Nehru Zoological Park and under the close supervision of the teachers. Like in many renowned institutions, Pallavi Alwal has a number of clubs that keep the students active and enthusiastic about the various activities, such as a cultural club, GK club, dramatics club, math club, literary club and so on.
There is a new concept of activity-based learning here at Pallavi Model School that goes by the name of Butterfly Field program. It is based on learning things by doing them, or we can say a practical way of learning. Through this program, the students use a number of tools such as digital media, robotics and engineering to test what they have learned in the classroom.

Admissions Admission at this school can be taken anytime in the year, depending upon the availability of seats. However, for nursery to UKG, the admissions start from mid-November. Within two days of its issue, the application form along with the necessary documents is to be submitted to the school office. The parents need to bring the child with them and the admission will be offered based on observations and interaction. The administrative office remains open from 8 am to 4:30 pm. Before taking admission for their child, parents are encouraged to take a tour of the campus to have a first-hand experience of the facilities and the academic program at the school.
