About The Sultan’s School

The Sultan's School located in Sultanate of Oman is sponsored by His Majesty, Sultan Qaboos bin Said. The English medium school is offering education since the year 1977 and has a co-educational pattern. The school follows curriculum of University of Cambridge and also teaches as per the syllabus of the International Baccalaureate. The school is accredited to The Council of International Schools the school and is bestowed with several international awards like The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.

The Sultan's School offers education from Kindergarten to Upper Primary in the Primary level of education whereas for Middle and High Schools IGCSE, IBDP curriculum are offered. The Kindergarten section at this school functions from 7.50 am to 2.30 pm. Children are to be dropped before 7.30 am. For Primary and secondary sections the school functions between 7.50 am to 2.45 pm.

The school offers admissions from KG2 level for which the syllabus for Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies is taught according to the curriculum issued by the Ministry of Education. In case of Omani nationals, they are required by the Ministry of Education to complete their studies in Islamic and Social Studies.

Non-Omani students are exempted from studying Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies. However, preference is given to Omani Nationals on priority basis at this school.
