About Dhruv Global School Sangamner
Established by the Malpani Foundation in 2005 with about 182 students, two years later Dhruv Global School in Sangamner shifted to its present more spacious campus at Dhandarphal. Spacious it truly is, with 18 acres and architecturally worthy enough to have won an award for it about 10 years ago. Both academic and non-academic staffs are having the relevant qualifications and experiences as per CBSE norms and they attend regular training workshops to understand classroom management and enhance their ICT and other skills. First-aid training is given to all teachers and coaches.
Academics and ActivitiesThe co-ed English medium school has classes from the playschool level to the higher secondary section. At the playschool level, children are provided with interesting activities to enable good development of their motor skills. Cognitive and emotional developments are further enhanced at the KG level, as also communication skills. Next come the primary level to work on reading, writing and arithmetic skills. A detailed subject-based curriculum as per the requirements of the CBSE Board is introduced in Middle school, which continues into the Secondary school classes.
Students of Dhruv Global School, Sangamner are encouraged to appear for the Science, Mathematics, and Cyber Olympiads and some of them have obtained high ranks in these. The school also provides the necessary guidance for State-level exams, such as the Government of Maharashtra Drawing Grade exam, the Maharashtra Talent Search exam, etc.
Then there are hobbies to showcase talent, field activity trips which encourage bonding and teamwork, and summer expeditions are organized to hill stations and other places.
The Campus The academic classrooms on the campus of Dhruv Global School, Sangamner are equipped with Educomp-created software that includes audio-visual teaching tools, including interesting 3D animations. The labs include ones for the individual science subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as well as for Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and Computers. Other facilities include a music hall, a multimedia room, and an art & craft studio. The library is a unique one, with separate sections for the pre-primary, primary and secondary students. Reading abilities are honed through personal supervision and fun storytelling sessions are scheduled with puppets.
Dhruv Global School, Sangamner has residential accommodation with one hostel for up to 120 boys and the other for up to 120 girls, with 12 dormitories in each hostel. The hostels have recreation rooms that have a TV and a library and provision for family quarters have been made adjacent to the hostels.
Other facilities on campus include a nursing home with 10 beds, sports facilities for athletics, basketball, badminton, volleyball, handball, netball, lawn tennis, skating, swimming, aerobics. There are also play parks with sand pits for the younger classes.
Admission procedure While admission to any class at Dhruv Global School, Sangamner is available throughout the year, it is not so for Class X and XII. For Class XI, admission may be given based on marks scored in Class X and a personal interview/aptitude test of the student. NRIs, foreign nationals and students outside Maharashtra seeking admission to the school should contact the school to know the admission policy for them.
Parents are welcome to visit Dhruv Global School, Sangamner between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Monday to Saturday) but must confirm the timings on phone before doing so. Along with the application form for admission, parents must submit the following documents-
- The child's birth certificate in original, or an attested photocopy of the relevant page.
- Official copies of the student's academic reports for the last three academic years.
- Four recent passport size photos.
- Confidential Medical Record.
- Transfer Certificate from the previous school (from Class II onwards).
The age criteria is as follows-
- For admission to Play Group: 3 years as on/before 30th September.
- For admission to LKG: 4 years as on/before 30th September.
- For admission to UKG – 5 years as on/before 30th September.
- For admission to Class I: 6 years as on/before 30th September.
