About St. Mary’s School (I.C.S.E.)
St. Mary's School (I.C.S.E.) is an English medium boy's school with a Junior School section up to Grade 4, and a Senior School section from Grade 5 to 10. The curriculum is of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE).
Campus facilities There are CCTV cameras around the campus of St. Mary's School (I.C.S.E.) for security purposes and to ensure there is no bullying. Audio-visual technology with interactive boards in the classroom makes for better learning. The computer lab has a sufficient number of computers to ensure that every student is able to learn at one computer, and the teacher also ensures that instructions are clearly conveyed on an individual basis to all. In the library, students of Std.1 and 2 enjoy story-telling sessions. There is a separate library section for the older students, with computers to access educational videos and reference material. Science concepts are conveyed through the labs that have the necessary equipment for practical experiments and models as well. Facilities for sports and indoor games are aplenty, including football, basketball, cricket, athletics, swimming, badminton, table tennis, etc.
Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities As part of the curriculum, students of St. Mary's School (I.C.S.E.) have activities for Socially Useful Productive Work (S.U.P.W.) which includes enjoyable pursuits such as creating useful products from waste, putting up charts on social issues, making a healthy snack, etc. An interesting extra-curricular activity is the Robotics classes for students of class 4 to 9, held weekly every Monday. There are also two clubs, one for activities related to Nature, and the other for Photography. An international student exchange program may be scheduled from time to time. Past such programs included visiting Nepal and France.
Like it is in the St. Mary's High School (S.S.C.), students are members of one of four houses named after Mahatma Gandhi, Ashoka the Great, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore,
