About Army Public School Khadakwasla
Established in 2012, Army Public School Khadakwasla is a CBSE school from Std.1 to Std. 10 under the aegis of the Army welfare Education Society (AWES). With over a thousand students on its roll, APS Khadakwasla lays emphasis on punctuality and discipline and has a system of issuing warning cards for breaking rules and regulations. Like other APS schools across India, this one, too, provides multiple co-curricular and extra-curricular activities alongside focus on academics. Thus there are a diverse range of activities, such as recitation of poems, folk dance competitions, origami, spelling bee, etc.
Campus infrastructure The campus of APS Khadakwasla is having over 30 classrooms and one activity room for music, dance, etc. There are two computer labs with over two dozen computers, an audio-visual room, one composite science lab, and a library stocked with children's' books and magazines, including classics, newspapers and periodicals, etc. In addition to a badminton court, there is a large playground outdoors, where students are encouraged to participate in sports, such as basketball, athletics, football, cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, etc.
Admission procedure The admission form can be obtained from the school office for a nominal fee of Rs.10/- or can be downloaded from the official website of APS Khadakwasla. An admission test may be scheduled for students seeking admission on the basis of a Transfer Certificate from another school and direct admission without this certificate is permitted up to Class VI only. The list of documents required to be submitted with the admission form has been put up at the school's portal, these including the original transfer certificate, birth certificate, report card, etc. In the case of wards of Defence Personnel, the extract of the service record is accepted as conclusive proof of the age of the child. This service record is required to be attested by the Commanding Officer.
