About Shishu Mandir International School
Shishu Mandir International School, located in Veraval near the famous temple town of Somnath, was established by the Shri Shishumandir Education Trust. The CBSE-affiliated co-ed English medium school has classes from the pre-primary level to Class 10.
Inter-house competitions are scheduled to encourage teamwork and showcase talent. These include scholastic, literary, and co-curricular activities as well as sports competitions. There are four Houses for these, named simply after the cardinal directions, namely, North, South, East, and West. Each House has a colour and a motto assigned to it. So North House is blue, with the motto of Patriotism; South is Green - Peace; East is Orange - Simplicity; and West is Red - Right Thinking.
Campus infrastructure and facilities The verdant green 16-acre campus of Shishu Mandir International School has got excellent infrastructure. In addition to the over two dozen spacious digital-enabled classrooms, there is one composite science lab as well as individual labs for the subjects of Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. There are separate labs, too, for Mathematics, Language, Computer Science, and Home Science. Sports facilities include a swimming pool and areas for outdoor and indoor games. Additional infrastructure includes rooms for general activities, dance and music, a well-stocked library, a multi-purpose hall, a gymnasium, a canteen with a dining hall, a storeroom, and a medical room. The Wi-Fi-enabled campus has CCTV and Smart Networking facilities for teaching-learning purposes. The school has transport facilities, that includes a Mini-Van and buses for students and staff.
Admission procedure Parents can seek admission to LKG and up to Class 8 by registering the names of their wards in the first week of December for the next year's academic session. The application for registration is required to be submitted on the prescribed form along with the non-refundable registration fee. The documents required to be attached to the form are-
- The child's birth certificate.
- The child's school leaving certificate (applicable if coming from another school).
- Two passport size photos of the parents and of the child.
- The Aadhar Card of the parents and of the child.
- The Voter's Card of the parents.
- The PAN Card of the parent (this is optional).
Note- It is required to attach two photocopies of each of the above documents.
