About Bai Najamai Nosherwan Dastur Primary and Nursery School

Managed by the Sardar Dastur School Trust, Bai Najamai Nosherwan Dastur Primary School was established in 1953. While initially, it was a boys'-only school, the boys' and girls' nursery and primary schools were later merged into one in 1970, and the infrastructure for the nursery section came up in 2006.

Now a co-ed institution, the English medium school gives admission to students from the pre-primary level up to Class 4. A written test is scheduled twice a year to evaluate the child's progress. Additionally, students will be evaluated on their classwork, project work, oral skills, etc.

School features

As required by the norms of the State Education Board, Marathi is a mandatory language in the primary section. Children also learn computer skills from Class 1 in the computer lab, and there is a special computer club for the kids to acquire new skills and learn how to use hardware and software. A popular co-curricular activity is to learn to play a musical instrument and it is a matter of great pride to be selected to be part of the school's percussion band and to perform as a choir member at functions within and outside the school.
