About Delhi Public School Nagbani
While Delhi Public School, Nagbani is an educational institute set up by the Maharaja Hari Singh Social & Education Foundation Trust, Jammu and Kashmir, it is under the aegis of The Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi. The co-ed English medium school has classes from the pre-primary level up to Class 10.
Academics and activities From the start of its first academic session in 2016, DPS Nagbani has grown exponentially. Qualified and experienced faculty use a teaching methodology that encourages the development of social, creative, and emotional skills alongside the curriculum of the CBSE Board. Students are members of one of four houses, each named after rivers, namely, Ganga, Jhelum, Chenab, and Tawi. There are prizes and certificates for the winners of inter-house competitions, and even a prize for 100% attendance during the term.
Career guidance and counselling sessions are organized for students of the higher classes. Educational trips, fun camps, workshops, and field excursions are enjoyed a great deal. There are even interesting agricultural activities on campus and useful tips for healthy food and nutrition.
Eco-friendly campus DPS Nagbani has been Gold-certified by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), which means it has attained national excellence for its eco-friendly campus. This achievement has come with taking major steps, such as maintaining greenery, doing away with polythene materials, installing a rainwater harvesting system, etc. The campus has its own herbal garden, orchards, and farm spaces.
Campus facilities In addition to the well-designed classrooms, there are rooms for music and dance activities, an audio-visual room, a general science lab, a computer lab, a library, an amphitheatre, and a room for medical aid. For physical development, there are facilities for sports, including cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, skating, table tennis, badminton, and horse riding. Students can also learn the martial art of Taekwondo, and attend classes on yoga and meditation.
A fleet of eight buses provides safe and secure transport for the students.
Admission procedure Parents can register for admission to DPS Nagbani by paying a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.1500/-, which includes the fee for the school prospectus. The annual fees and other fees for the current academic year are displayed on the school's website. A concession of 25% for the tuition fee will be given to a second child who is a younger sibling. The fee for the school bus facility depends on the route.
