Delhi Public School Gurugram is a school with a difference. Located at Ansal Esencia in Sector 67A of Gurugram, the school has in its governing council, leaders, who have distinguished themselves in diverse fields that include education, industry, media, and sports. The school has Pramath Raj Sinha, Amit Prakash and Nikesh Sinha as its founding members and Ms Gowri Ishwaran as the mentor. Interestingly, Ms Gowri Ishwaran had been the teacher of the above three founder members, when they used to be students of St. Michael's High School in Patna, Bihar close to four decades back.
Established in the late 2020s, Delhi Public School Gurugram, Sector 67A, currently runs from pre-nursery to class VIII. However, in the coming years, it gradually aims to become a full-fledged school with classes up to XII. The school's 'Whole Child' learning approach is aligned with the curriculum of CBSE. Right now, the school is in the process of seeking affiliation with the CBSE board. The school defines this 'Whole Child Approach' as one that will create leaders of tomorrow, who will be creative, confident, and compassionate. This will be achieved by building on the cognitive and kinaesthetic skills of the students, whereby apart from academic excellence, one also imbibes values and experiences experiential learning. Infrastructure DPS Gurugram, Sector 67A has all the necessary facilities and infrastructure required of a world-class school. Apart from its well-furnished classrooms, library and laboratories, the school has facilities and infrastructure that include two temperature-controlled swimming pools, yoga centres, football turf, basketball court, tennis court, squash court, badminton court, mini golf course, shooting range, and a multi-purpose hall. There is no let-up when it comes to cultural or creative activities like art, music, dance and so on.
The school also has an international outlook, where it aims to collaborate with leading international institutions in organizing adventure camps, student exchange programs, and summer schools.
