About Prerna Convent and Jr College School

Established in 1993 Prerna Convent and Jr College, Nagpur is a co-ed English medium school under the management of the Prerna Sewa Mandal. Initially having pre-primary, primary, and secondary classes, the school soon grew to offer higher secondary education as well. The syllabus is as per the State Board's curriculum. There are regular tests and exams, with the student's progress report given to parents after each exam.

Prerna Convent Campus and Activities

Prerna Little Flower is the pre-primary section with spacious classrooms having colourful display charts and a playground. The classrooms of the primary and higher classes of Prerna Convent and Jr College have multimedia equipment. Other infrastructure includes a library, computer and science labs, and sports facilities for football, volleyball, badminton, javelin, Taekwondo, etc.

Students participate in fun activities like dramatics, music, clay modelling, painting, etc, and the Nature Club activities. There are also co-curricular activities organized House-wise, with Houses named after eminent leaders, namely, Gandhi, Nehru, Patel, and Tagore.

Age criterion

For admission to Prerna Little Flower, which is the pre-primary section, the age criteria is: For Nursery, the child should be 3 yrs.+; For KG-I the child should be 4 yrs.+; for KG-II the child should be 5 yrs.+.

For admission to Std. 1, the child should be 6 years of age and for the higher classes as applicable.

Admission procedure and Fee payment

Parents can get the application form for admission from the school office during office hours.

School fees should be deposited at the school office in two instalments as per the time frame given. It should be noted that school fees are not refundable and if the fees are not paid, the child will not be permitted to appear for the school exams. Also, once the academic year's final exam results are declared, parents must apply for readmission to the higher class within 15 days of the result otherwise the child will not get admission to the next class.
