About Bal Bharati Public School
Established in 2018 by the Child Education Society, Delhi, Bal Bharati Public School NTPC-Gadarwara (BBPS NTPC-Gadarwara) initially had classes from the Montessori level up to Class 8 and later provided education up to the higher secondary level. In Class XI, students can opt for the science or commerce stream. As per Govt. policies, the co-ed CBSE-affiliated school offers education to children with special needs, providing the required assistance devices and study material. The appointed Special Educators receive in-service training, as do the general teachers of the school.
BBPS NTPC-Gadarwara Academics and Activities Students follow the CBSE curriculum, with English as the medium of instruction and Hindi as a language. Other subjects include English, Maths, Social Studies, General Science, etc. Sanskrit is for students from Classes 5 to 8, while students of Classes 9 and 10 study History, Civics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Economics in addition to English, Hindi, and Maths.
As members of one of the four Houses named after leaders, students actively participate in inter-house competitions in the fields of literacy, sports, and culture. The Literacy Club, Nature Club and other clubs enable students to take up hobbies that are of interest to them. The students also participate in inter-school competitions.
Excursions, picnics, trekking on nature trails, and tours to museums and places of interest are scheduled to provide students with opportunities to explore diverse places and generally have an enjoyable time beyond formal academics. Then there are workshops on hygiene, fire safety, careers, etc.
BBPS NTPC-Gadarwara Campus Infrastructure In the midst of a picturesque location, the BBPS NTPC-Gadarwara campus provides a serene environment for learning. The academic building is well-designed, with not just classrooms equipped with digital boards on each floor, but open spaces for students to meet and relax and a separate washroom for physically challenged students. Art, craft and music studios get students involved in co-scholastic activities associated with drama, dance, music, art, etc. The library is well-stocked with fiction for students of all age groups, whether they are in the pre-primary class or the higher secondary class. There are periodicals, non-fiction, and audio-visual resources as well along with internet facilities. While primary-class students enjoy story-telling sessions, those of the higher classes engage in sessions related to an appreciation of literature.
There is an outdoor recreational ground, while indoors there are facilities for yoga, carrom, chess, and table tennis. Other infrastructure includes a medical room, drinking water facilities, and security systems.
Admission procedure Parents seeking admission for their wards to the Montessori class of BBPS NTPC-Gadarwara, that is, preschool and pre-primary, should note that admission is based on a lottery system. The child should be of age 3 to 4 years as of 1st April of the academic year of admission. Admission to the Primary and higher classes is based on the availability of seats, with students selected based on their scores in a written text. Admission to Classes 11 and 12 is done as per the guidelines of the CBSE Board, Delhi.
