About Shrewsbury International School India
The Jagran Social Welfare Society (JSWS) offers quality educational opportunities through its multiple campuses, including those under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society. Now it has entered into a collaboration with the prestigious Shrewsbury School, UK to set up a campus in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Shrewsbury International School India will offer the same level of academic excellence as its UK counterpart.
As of now, admissions to the co-ed school will be opened for Grades 6 to 11 for students in the age group of 11 to 18 for the first academic session starting towards the end of August 2025.
Curriculum and Activities The curriculum of Shrewsbury International School India, Bhopal is as per the norms of England's national curriculum, preparing the students to appear for the Cambridge International IGCSE exams in Years 10 and 11 with Science and Math as the central programs of study. Subsequently, students can pursue 'A' Level courses, with final exams scheduled at the end of Years 12 and 13. European and Indian languages will be offered as options.
There is a House system under the supervision of Housemasters and Housemistresses for pastoral care and a personal tutor to provide academic guidance or general support. Alongside the joy of learning, students will develop values like integrity, compassion, etc as well as virtues like honesty, humility, humour, etc. Confidence, self-belief, critical thinking and social responsibility are also developed to let each student flourish individually. The aforementioned learning and development of myriad skills will take place through music and drama, sports, and co-curricular activities.
Shrewsbury International School Campus The 150-acre campus of Shrewsbury International School India, Bhopal has all the required infrastructure for formal learning, residential stays, and a wide spectrum of facilities for activities across various sports and artistic disciplines.
A large indoor sports complex will have a swimming pool, courts for squash, badminton, and basketball, a cricket arena, a shooting range, gymnastics equipment, etc. A Visual & Performing Arts school building will have teaching rooms, a studio, an auditorium, rooms for painting, pottery, etc. The catering hall offers nutritious food with fresh ingredients. There are labs for learning computing skills as well as for science, technology, design, astronomy, etc.
