|S.S.D. Krishna Vatika Sr Secondary School was established in the year 1998 in Bhatinda, Punjab. The school started with a mission of providing academic as well as co-curricular activities to its students and has been quite successful in that objective. It offers classes from nursery to class XII level. The school follows the CBSE system and its guidelines. The academic session in the school starts in the month of April every year and ends on 31st March of the following year.|
FacilitiesSchool campus is spread over about 3 acres of area and consists of lush green gardens, a playground, spacious ventilated classrooms, well-equipped labs, an assembly area, library, and activity centre. For safety and security reasons the school is under CCTV surveillance and these are mounted in classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, auditorium, library, school gate, select points along boundaries etc.
There is a well-maintained air-conditioned library having a collection of about 3000 books and the library has about 70 regular magazines and periodicals for the reference of the students. The library is quite spacious and can accommodate about 180 students at a time.
There are many sports and games available for the students and they are encouraged to participate in the school tournaments pertaining to these sports. Some of the facilities available are Volley Ball, 200 m running track, Skating Rink, Hand Ball, and Badminton.
There are well-equipped laboratories for practical learning of the students. These are - the Physics lab, Chemistry lab, Biology lab, Mathematics lab, and Computer lab.
There is an activity centre in the school where children are guided for creative work like painting, sketching, writing, group activities etc to inculcate the development of their creative faculties.
For the overall development of the children, self-development workshops are periodically held in the school. Individual or group counselling sessions are also conducted based on the need of the students. Parents are also encouraged to meet the school counsellor for discussing the spatial needs of the children.
For the students and staff in the city and nearby areas, the school provides a bus facility. These school buses have been furnished with CCTV cameras for safety and monitoring reasons.
AdmissionsFor admission to the nursery level the school announces it on its website as well as in local newspapers. Such a notice is generally made during the month of November every year. Parents can visit the website for more details on the matter. They can directly collect the application forms and prospectus from the school and duly fill in the details and submit them along with all the required documents.
For admission to KG and grade I to V parents can apply at any time of the year but admission would be granted as per the availability of the seats in that particular level. The application form has to be filled in online mode and the parents have to submit the documents like a copy of the child's birth certificate, a copy of the document for address proof, a copy of the report card from the previous school etc. There is no entrance test for admission for these grades. During the admission process, the parents will have to mandatory fill out the questionnaire supplied by the school.
For admissions to class VI and above the candidates have to fill in the online registration form on the school website and then have to buy the application form and prospectus from the school and fill that and submit it along with an earlier class score card and birth certificate. The candidates have to appear for an entrance test in which questions would be asked as per or equivalent to their earlier class syllabus and entrance exam subjects would be English, Mathematics, and Science. Admission would be considered only after the child is able to secure at least 50% in each of the above subjects. If admission is granted then a copy of TC from earlier school, four numbers of passport-sized photographs, and a medical certificate of the child would also be required to complete the admission process after which the fee is to be deposited. Fees are to be deposited in advance for three months and the parents would be informed about the future fee instalments in advance through phone, SMS or Email.
