About St. Andrew's School, Thiruvananthapuram

St. Andrew's U.P.S was started on 1921 by an Individual management. In 1949-50 an U.P. School was started in Chirathope as St. Antony's U.P. School. When the Manager of St. Antony's U.P.S had gone to U.R on 1950-51 the management had taken by our church and it was renamed as St. Andrew's U.P.S. Later this school was affiliated to Trivandrum Diocese and shifted to near Kadinamkulam Panchayat Office. In 1952, the above U.P School Joined with our L.P. School and became St. Andrew's U.P. School.

The old school building was demolished in 1999 and the present double storied building was blessed by Rev. Dr. Soosapakiam, Bishop of Trivandrum on 12-7-1999 at the time of Rev. Fr. Jerome Alphonse, Parish Priest.
