Carmel Matriculation Higher Secondary School was established in the year 1982 at Erode and is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is a co-educational institution which offers education and instructions in English medium. The school offers a good learning environment to the students to develop their skills and potential. The institution has experienced and talented teachers.
Facilities The school is situated on the Karur Bypass Road with beautiful landscapes. The institution has smart class rooms with digital resources. To improve the language skills, the students are given special training in the English language lab fitted with audio and video devices. Separate labs are available for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The computer lab present inside the school is well equipped with nearly 200 computers and the students are given special training on information and technology. The school library is very large with many books, references, magazines and journals on all knowledge. The playground present inside the campus provides a good platform for the students to improve their talent in the sports and the games.
Academics The students are given education based on the syllabus of Tamil Nadu State Government. The school offers basic education to the students in Tamil, English, Hindi, Maths, Science, Social and Computer.
In addition to the class subjects, the students are allowed to improve their talents and skills by participating in the extra-curricular activities. Some of the beyond the curriculum activities involved in the school are Classical dance, yoga, karate, chess, string instruments, keyboard, violin, vocal music and special Hindi training. The Eco-club, consumer club, literary club and the social service clubs conducts many activities and the events to unleash the hidden talents of the students in the respective fields.
