Admission for foreign students in VIT Vellore

VIT is one of the best private institutes in India and its main campus is in Vellore. The quality of education is known to be high. Foreign candidates can also apply for seats in this institute.
A foreign candidate who wants to get admitted to this institute for doing B. Tech should meet the following requirements-
1. English should be one of the language subjects at a higher secondary level. Otherwise, the student should be from the English medium only.
2. Mathematics and Physics are the two compulsory subjects at A level/Form VI/ Senior VI or its equivalent.
3. The third subject should be any one of the following subjects.
Chemistry / Computer Sciences / Electronics / Biotechnology / Biology.
4. Mathematics is not a compulsory subject for the student who wants to admit into Biotechnology or Biomedical Engineering.
5. Candidates who passed standard XII or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% in the above-mentioned subjects are eligible to apply. For candidates from Nepal, an aggregate of 55% in Class 11 and Class 12 put-together will be considered.
6. Candidates should submit equivalent marks card for their grade points For grade points, attained from the school is to be produced.
7. A Candidate must produce proof of his nationality. A valid Passport or National ID is acceptable.
The following are the details of the application method-
The application can be filled out online and no need to send the hard copy separately. Go through the instructions carefully and upload all the certificates required to be submitted and keep them ready for attaching to your application form.
3.5 cm width x 4.5 cm height 10-200 kB size passport size photo should also be uploaded and kept ready. Email addresses and Phone numbers are also to be filled in.
There is a system of direct admission. There is no need of attending VITEEE. ( VIT Engineering Entrance Examination). For further details in this regard, the candidate can refer to https://admissions.vit.ac.in/ugnriapplication/ .
The seat allotment procedure is as follows-
Once the candidate applies online, the university will scrutinize the application and verify all the documents. Once the candidate meets all the eligibility conditions the institute will inform the candidate about the branch allotment through an email. The branch once allotted will not be changed.
No Demand draft is required along with the application. The candidates will be informed about the advance to be paid in the allotment letter. The payment should be made in the USDollars. The remaining fee and other required documents asked for in the allotment letter are to be paid within the stipulated time.
After receiving full payment the candidate will receive an email with all required details along with the reporting date. Candidates should bring all original documents to report at the university.
