Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science, Chennai is a Deemed to be University. In NIRF 2022 rankings it ranked 27 and 152 in Architecture and Engineering respectively. It has now announced admissions to its various courses open for session 2023-24.
Under 'School of Engineering and Technology', it is offering admissions in B.Tech. in branches like Aeronautical, Aerospace, Civil, Computer science, AI & ML, AI & data science, Cyber security, Information Technology, ECE, Electronics manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, automobile, and Biotechnology.
Under 'School of Planning, Architecture & Design Excellence', it is offering courses in B.Arch. and B.Des. (Communication / Fashion & Apparel / Interior).
Merit scholarships are also available to select and eligible students.
The University claims to have reputed industry partners like IBM, Bosch, Royal Enfield, Volkswagen, Intel, Alsim, etc which is an encouraging sign from a placement point of view.
The university has PG and Doctoral programs in these streams and students can consider that after completing their UG courses.
For B.Tech. admission the candidate should have at least 50% marks in their 10+2 in science stream and should also have 60% in Mathematics.
For B.Arch/B.Des. course candidate should have passed in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects. The candidate also has to qualify for an Aptitude Test in Architecture through JEE or NATA.
The eligible candidates will have to register on the university website and appear for the online entrance examination as per the schedule informed to them. The entrance exam would be of 2 hours duration.
Students awaiting for Higher Secondary / +2 Examinations results are eligible to register for the online Entrance Exam.
Foreign Nationals / NRIs are exempted and need not appear in Online Entrance Examination.
