Eligibility criterion and Admissions

• B.Tech. - The candidates should have 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Math, and Chemistry in their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board and also have test scores in PESSAT (National level exam) or KCET (State level exam) or JEE Mains. Further admission process will depend on the merit of candidates based on the above eligibility followed by counseling.
• B.Tech (Diploma Lateral Entry) - Candidates should have passed a 10+3 diploma with at least a 60% aggregate score in the engineering branch. They will have to register at the PES University website and personally take the computer-based test at the mentioned campus of the University. Based on the result of the test candidates will be advised to go ahead with the admission process.
• B.Arch. – For admissions to this course candidates should have done their 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with at least 50% marks. Candidates having passed a 10+3 Diploma course with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50% marks are also eligible.
  
  The admissions are through KCET or PESSAT. The candidate has also to qualify for an aptitude test in architecture conducted either by the NTA (National Testing Agency) or the NATA test conducted by the Council of Architecture.
• B. Des. (Bachelor of Design) - The candidates should have at least 50% marks in 10+2 or equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidates having at least 50% marks in 10+3 Diploma with English as one of the subjects are also eligible.
  
  Test scores in UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) or PESSAT are mandatory and an interview for the admission process will be taken only after that.
• BA-LLB/ BBA-LLB - This is a 5-year integrated program and candidates should have at least 45% marks in 10+2 or equivalent in any stream from a recognized board. CLAT or PESSAT or LSAT-India score is mandatory and an interview will be conducted before processing for admission.
• Other UG courses - For other UG courses the eligibility is 10+2 with at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.
  The candidates should register for PESSAT and take the mandatory test personally at PES University. The result will be shared with the candidate within 3 days from the day of the test and if cleared one can proceed with the further admission process.
• M.Sc.(Psychology) - Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their Bachelor's degree with Psychology as one of the compulsory subjects from any recognized University and PESSAT test to be given at PES University Ring Road campus after clearing which only further admission process will be advised.
• MBA - Candidates should have at least 50% in Bachelor's degree from any recognized university and test scores (at least 50th percentile) in PESSAT or PGCET or MAT or CMAT or CAT or GMAT or GRE. Only after this they will be called for group discussions and personal interviews for admission.
• M.Tech. - Candidates should have at least 50% in the Engineering degree from a recognized university and test Scores in PESSAT or PGCET or GATE. Only after that further process for admission would be advised.
• Executive M.Tech. - Candidates should have at least 50% in BE/B.Tech/M.Sc.(Mathematics)/MCA from a recognized university, and they should also have a minimum work experience of 24 months by the course starting time. The candidates will have to register for PESSAT and go through a personal interview at the university for admission to the course.
• MCA - Candidates must have passed with 50% marks in the Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or BCA or B.Sc. (Computer Science) with Mathematics at 10+2 level. They have to go through the PGCET or PESSAT test to get selected to proceed for admission.
• M.Pharm. - Candidates having completed their 10+2+B.Pharm. can apply and take the PESSAT test and will be considered for admission based on the results.
• PhD - Candidates seeking admission for a PhD should have a valid PG degree in the relevant field.
  
  Admissions for PhD are open around the year but applications are processed quarterly. The interested candidates have to meet with the Registrar, Dean of Research, domain heads, and potential Research Supervisors (guides) and present the brief/synopsis after which an interview would be conducted for admission.

• Gear Up for the Entrance Exam: PES University conducts its entrance exam called PESSAT. This is your main ticket to getting a seat. You can also apply using scores from national exams like JEE Mains or KCET for specific courses.
• Registration Dates: Mark your calendars! Registration for PESSAT 2024 started in October 2023. The last date to register for students from outside Bangalore is around April 11th, 2024 (tentative). Bangalore students have a bit more time, with registrations closing around April 22nd, 2024 (tentative). Don't be late!
• Check Your Eligibility: Before you jump in, make sure you meet the eligibility criteria. Generally, you'll need a minimum of 45% marks in your 10+2 board exams (or equivalent) for the general category. There's a relaxation for SC/ST students.
