Jadavpur University, Kolkata has released a notification inviting applications from eligible Indian Nationals for admission to the Ph.D.(Science)degree as per the new Ph.D. Regulation 2022 in the departments of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geological Sciences, Geography, Life Sciences & Biotechnology, and Instrumentation Sciences under the Faculty of Science, Jadavpur University for the session 2023-24.
Candidates who passed PG in the concerned subject are eligible to apply for PhD admission. The candidates who are interested in applying should download the application form from the official website of Jadavpur University. Candidates who want to apply for more than one subject should apply separately.
The application fee is Rs.500/-. This fee is to be paid online through the SBI collect system using a credit card, debit card or net banking. The last date for paying the fee is 10th November 2023.
The applicants should submit the filled-in application at the following address-

The following documents are to be attached to the application form-
(i) Two passport-size photographs,
(ii) Attested copies of all mark sheets and certificates from Madhyamik onwards,
iii) Admit card/certificate of Madhyamik for age verification
(iv) SC/ST/PD/OBC-A/OBC-B Certificate from the competent authority, (where applicable),
(v) NET / SET / GATE / ICMR-NET / DBT-NET, AYUSH – NET certificates etc., if any, (vi) Receipt of online payment of application fee
(vii) Filled-in forwarding form of supervisor duly signed by the Supervisor, Director (in case of the affiliated institute) and HOD concerned.
The last date for submitting the application form is 10/11/2023.
The applicants who are not qualified in NET/SET/GATE/ICMR-NET/DBT-NET, AYUSH – NET will have to qualify in the WRET examination conducted by Jadavpur University for admission to PhD (Science).
I advise all the candidates to verify and fill out the application forms carefully. Incomplete applications and wrongly filled applications will be rejected.
