Programs, Eligibility, and Admission Process
Interested candidates can visit the university website https://www.sastra.edu and select 'Programmes' under the main menu to find out the courses available in Thanjavur, Chennai, and Kumbakonam campuses respectively. After that, the candidates have to select 'Admissions' under the main menu. There, one will find all the details through FAQs about eligibility, admission process to various courses, etc. For example, I wanted to know about B.Tech. admission so I clicked on the FAQ - What is the eligibility? I saw a page where eligibility for many courses was mentioned. For B.Tech. it was mentioned that a pass in 10+2 in the Science stream (Mathematics & Physics mandatory) with 60% marks was required.
Then to know more I clicked on another FAQ - How are admissions done? It took me to a page where I found admissions to B. Tech. were made in two streams. The first criterion is based on the sum of an equal weight of JEE score and normalized class XII marks. The second criterion is based on only normalized class XII marks. As the information is provided in a structured manner candidate will not have any difficulty getting the desired one on the SASTRA website.
Note that applications for the desired course are to be made online only.
