Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) is a deemed-to-be-university, located in Patiala. It was established in 1956. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in full-time mode. Currently, Admission to TIET online admission form 2023-24 is open for UG, B.Tech, MBA, PG, Ph.D., ME M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc., MA, etc
Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduate programs -Candidate should have passed 12th Grade (Intermediate), 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board/University with 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
Postgraduate programs: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks in aggregate. 5% relaxation would be given to SC/ST candidates.
Admissions procedure:
Admission will be done based on entrance and merit. students can get admission to various programs based on JEE Main/ NEET/ CAT/ GATE/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ NMAT/ CMAT/ GMAT. Candidates without national-level scores are given admission based on either merits or an entrance test conducted by the university

For UG programs: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Chemistry and, Biology.
For PG programs: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate.
Mode of Admission:
For UG programs: TIET will conduct its own entrance exam, called the Thapar Institute Entrance Test (TIET).
For PG programs: Admissions will be based on the marks obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or the Common Admission Test (CAT).
Application Process:
The application process for TIET 2023-24 has already started and will close on 30th June 2023. The application form can be filled out online on the TIET website.
The application fee is Rs 1,500 for General Category candidates and Rs. 750 for SC/ST candidates.

Result declaration: September 20, 2023
