Finland is giving a chance to students to work and earn during their studies. Students belonging to EU or EEA countries, Switzerland or Nordic countries can work any number of hours during their studies. They don't need any permit either as far as my knowledge goes. They will also become eligible for obtaining Finnish social security. They can get training in other companies also. They can work in companies to write their thesis. However, students with a residence permit which is obtained for studying by students belonging to other countries will give them only some rights to work while studying, namely-
1. A student can work in a company to get training which is a part of their curriculum. Students can undertake project work as part of their curriculum in any organization.

2. A student can undertake a part-time job no more than 25 hours a week on average. This limit is applicable when the classes are in progress.

3. During the Summer and Christmas holidays, the institutes will declare a holiday and no classes will be there. During such time these students can take up full-time work also.

I understand that there are some interesting job opportunities for students. Some of them are mentioned below-
1. Examination Invigilator.
2. Summer Jobs like coaching to entrance tests etc.
3. Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants etc.

The career centres in the institute where a student is studying at will help the students get the above-mentioned part-time earning opportunities.

In addition to the above a student can do the following-
1. Mail, Post Newspaper delivery work can be taken up by the students.
2. There will be chances in restaurants for students from other countries to take up part-time work. Students who obtain a hygiene passport can take up work in a restaurant.
3. Food delivery and cleaning work also can be taken up by these students.
