There are scholarships offered by the Central and State Govts., NGOs, and private sector firms for various educational programs, including an MBA. In fact, let me quickly tell you about an ongoing scholarship scheme. If you hurry, you can apply for the scholarship offered by the IDFC First Bank which launched a scholarship scheme for needy students who wish to get admission to a highly reputed management institute to pursue a management program, including for an MBA course. And you really need to hurry, as the closing date to apply is just two days away- 31st July 2023.
The IDFC First Bank Scholarship, which is one of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, is for students of low-income families who are keen to pursue an MBA program or any Postgraduate program in Business or its equivalent in India. There are a total of 350 scholarships available for disbursement.
The Scholarship Amount: Rs. 2,00,000 for a 2-year full time MBA program. That is, the scholarship awarded is Rs. 1 lakh per annum, based on specific terms and conditions. You need to pass the first year of the course to be eligible to receive the scholarship amount for the second year as well. The amount will cover the tuition fees of your course, but will not be given to you directly. Instead, it will be credited into the account of the college/institution where you have got admission.
Know if you are eligible: You should be an Indian national residing in India with a valid mobile number linked to your Aadhar card.
Age criterion: You should not be above 35 years of age as of the date of application.
Family income criterion: The gross annual family income from all sources should be less than or equal to Rs.6 lakhs p.a.

Note that if the college that you are enrolled in is not mentioned in the list, then you cannot apply for the scholarship.
Important to know: Employees of IDFC FIRST Bank and their children are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students enrolled in a previous batch are not eligible to apply, and if you are enrolled in an MBA distance education program, you cannot apply as the scholarship is only for full-time MBA programs. If you have taken up a 1-year executive program, an integrated MBA program, or any MBA program, then you should not apply.
Application procedure
You must submit your application only at https://firstimpactplatform.idfcfirstbank.com/sch/index but do read the Terms and Conditions before applying. There is no application fee.
Don't forget to keep scanned and ready these documents that you must upload at the time of filling in the online application form-
The admission letter with the name of the college/institution, the year of admission year and the batch
A copy of the fee receipt
A copy of the Graduation mark sheet or the passing certificate
The Income certificate - this should be issued by a Govt. authority or by the relevant Govt. authority. If this is not available, then a copy of Income Tax Returns (Form 16A) or a copy of the salary slip is also acceptable.
Disability Certificate if applicable
Sanctioned Loan Letter if applicable
Death Certificate, in case there is a death of the sole earning member of the immediate family if applicable
Document of any other scholarships received for pursuing an MBA if applicable
