Assam Chief Minister's Fellowship Program 2024 - Eligibility, Pay, Application Process

Good to know that you are keen to apply for the Assam CM's Fellowship program. It means that you are aspiring to work in the public service sector. Let's find out how you will benefit, the eligibility criteria, and the online application process. At the outset, though, note that you can apply only if you are a permanent resident of Assam, and more than one member of the same family cannot apply for the Fellowship.
The work: Once you are selected, you will be required to join in two to three phases beginning from the last week of May 2024 with an initial one-month orientation and training program followed by an exposure visit/on-the-job training in the field. The work location will be in the office of the District and sub-divisional Headquarters across Assam. You will closely work with entrepreneurs selected for CMAAA so that they become credit-worthy. Senior leaders of the Govt. of Assam will be your mentors throughout the 2-year program.
The pay: It's good! There is a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 6 lakhs in the first year, which includes Rs, 96,000 for travelling expenses. Rs. 6.6 lakhs will be the remuneration for the second year which includes Rs. 1.08 lakh for travelling expenses.
The Assessment: Work hard and stay committed! Your performance will be evaluated every 6 months based on certain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and the Fellowship will be continued depending on this evaluation.
The Certificate: Something to add to your C.V.! On successful completion of the program, you will receive a Diploma certificate which will be issued by a reputed university of Assam, as well as an experience certificate that will be personally signed by the Chief Minister of Assam. Special awards/incentives may be given to the best Fellows.

Employment criterion: You must have valid registration in the Employment Exchange.
Minimum Academic Qualifications: You should have passed the Class 10 exam if you are applying in the general category, and up to Class 10 is acceptable as the minimum qualification if you are applying in the SC/ST/OBC categories.
Higher Academic Qualifications: You should have an MBA or an MBA-equivalent Degree or a Master's in Social Sciences/Public Policy/Development Studies from a reputed university/institution with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying exam, and a good academic track record. This includes Degrees obtained through a professional course, such as engineering, medicine (M.B.B.S., B.D.S., Veterinary), agriculture, fisheries, etc. Postgraduates and qualifications from ITI/Polytechnics, as well as Diploma holders of technical courses are welcome to apply. Applicants from premier institutes like IIM/IIT/IRMA/TISS/NIRD, etc will be given preference.
Are you a fresher? No worries! You can also apply if you are a fresh graduate/you are in the final year of the qualifying degree course of the academic year 2023-24. You will need to submit the degree certificate/testimonials at the time of joining the program.
General skills: You must have English and Hindi fluency with good communication skills, and knowledge of the local language will be given due weightage in the selection process. Basic computer knowledge will be required to complete certain tasks. It is also essential to have the relevant knowledge, experience, and skills to take up income-generating activities of the CMAAA.
Bank account: It is mandatory to have a bank account that has been opened before 31st December 2023. Take care! You should not be a defaulter on a loan taken, if any, from a Co-operative bank/Nationalized bank in the past.

The Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprise Department, Govt. of Assam has launched a 2-year Chief Ministers' Fellows (CMF) program under the Chief Minister's Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan (CMAAA) for MBA/Masters in Social Sciences/Public Policy/Development Studies for those keen on taking up program management in the social service sector. Those having experience working in multinational companies and international organizations are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent opportunity to get good experience in participating in innovative projects in collaboration with government organizations, financial institutions, universities, etc. and develop leadership abilities and analytical skills.Fellowship Program Features

Application Procedure
Register with a valid email ID and mobile number, then apply online at the CMAAA application portal. In the first step, you will be required to fill in the basic details, such as name, contact information, address, etc. Then you will proceed to fill in details of educational qualifications, and subsequently of experience. Then upload all the relevant documents, and apply. In case you do not complete the application, you can log in later and click on 'Finish your incomplete application'.Images and documents you need to scan and keep ready to upload during the online application:
- Passport size colour photo (3.5cm by 2.5cm) of min. 20KB and max. 50KB in size
- Specimen signature (1.5cm by 2.5cm) of min. 10KB and max 30KB in size, and in jpeg or png format
