Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar was established in 1992. The university is recognised by UGC and accredited by NAAC. The university offers admission to courses at the UG, PG and doctoral levels. Students wishing to apply for admission have to fill out the online application form and appear for the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination (KIITEE). Candidates have to apply online after registering their names and there is no registration fee separately.
B.Des is a 4 year under graduate degree in design. KIIT is offering this course as a full time course and there are two specialisations in this subject. Fashion Design and Textile Design are the two specialisations offered. There will be one section for each specialisation and each section will have 40 students. Already admissions for the year 2023 is started and the entrance test has been conducted as far as I know. Interested candidates can visit the website of the institute.
The eligibility criteria: A pass in 12th class or equivalent in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. KIIT will conduct an entrance test for the students who applied for the course and based on the rank obtained in this course seats will be allocated.
