The Institute is having the status of a Deemed-to-be University with effect from 16th November 1983 under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (1956). The institute is offering UG courses in veterinary science and Animal Husbandry. The institute is also offering PG and Ph.D. courses also in many related subjects. The institute will be conducting training courses for professionals in this field to get their knowledge updated.
Recently the notification for admissions into BVSC & AH has been announced.
1. Online Registration and uploading of the documents has been started on 24th July 2023. The last for completing this activity is 20.08.2023 (up to 6:00 PM).
2. Rank list of registered candidates for 1st Round of Counseling will be published on the IVRI website- www.ivri.nic.in on 28.08.2023
3. 1st Round of Counseling for regular/open seats, fee submission and provisional admission will be on. 04.09.2023
4. Notification of Rank list of registered candidates invited for 2nd Round of Counseling for regular/open seats will be published 05.09.2023 if required.
5. Date of 2nd Round of Counseling (if required) for regular/open seats, fee submission and provisional admission will be 11.09.2023
6. Notification of Rank list of registered candidates invited for admissions against payment seats and NRI/OCI seats will be published 12.09.2023
7. Date of Counseling for admissions against payment & NRI/OCI seats, fee submission and provisional admission will be on18.09.2023
8. Notification of Rank list of registered candidates (on IVRI website- www.ivri.nic.in) invited for mop-up round Counseling against any vacant seat will be published on 19.09.2023
9. Date of Counseling for the mop-up round, fee submission and provisional admission will be 29.09.2023
10. 1st Year BVSc & AH courses and Commencement of Classes will be on 12.09.2023
Please note that these dates are tentative and may be getting changed. So I advise all the candidates to visit the official website of the institute regularly to know any updates.
Duration of the course: The course duration is five and half years including a one-year internship.
2. The person applying must have attained 17 years of age as of 31-12-2023.
3. The candidates who are qualified in NEET(UG) 2023 are eligible to apply.
4. Candidates who passed Intermediate or any other equivalent course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English (as a core course). Candidates should pass all the subjects mentioned above with an average score of a minimum of 50%.
The seats will be allotted based on the rank obtained in NEET provided if the candidate meets all other criteria laid down. NRI/ OCI candidates will be allotted seats based on their marks in intermediate or equivalent and they need not appear for NEET.
2. I suggest the candidate go through the details given on the portal thoroughly before applying.
3. There will be a link on the portal for paying the fees. The registration fee is Rs.2000/- for normal candidates and Rs,1000/- for SC/ST/ Divyang candidates. Candidates should pay the fees using that link.
4. Once the application form is filled out properly and the registration fee is paid, the candidate should click on the FINISH button.
5. There will be an application summary page (as a .zip folder/ .rar folder). All candidates should send a scanned copy of the page mentioned above and also scanned copies of other documents uploaded while filling out the application should be sent as an email to ivribvscadm2023@gmail.com. The last date for sending this email is 13th August 2023.

b. Signature of the candidate
c. Admit Card of NEET-UG-2023 Examination.
d. Rank Card of NEET-UG-2023 Examination.
e. Aadhaar Card of the candidate
f. Any other Identity card (Voter ID Card, Ration Card, Passport etc.)
g. Date of Birth Certificate
h. Secondary School (High School) Examination or equivalent Certificate
i. Secondary School (High School) Examination mark list
j. Intermediate (10+2) Mark Sheet (Qualifying Examination Mark Sheet)
k. Intermediate (10+2) Certificate or Provisional Certificate. A provisional certificate is acceptable to candidates who passed their intermediate in 2023 only.
l. Character Certificate from the School or College last attended.
In addition to the above the candidates under reserved category should upload proof for their claim under reserved category.
The details of the candidates called for counselling will be mentioned on the website of the institute and no separate information will be sent. All candidates called should personally present at the above venue as per the date mentioned. If the person is not present no admission will be allowed to that candidate. The selected candidates should pay the fee and submit all the documents on the day of counselling only.

Indian Veterinary Research Institute was established in the year 1889 as Imperial Bacteriological Laboratory at Pune (Maharashtra). This institute was shifted to Mukteswar, Distt. Nainital (Uttarakhand) in the year 1893. Izatnagar, Bareilly (UP) campus of the institute was established in 1913. As of now, this institute's headquarter is in Izatnagar (UP) and its other campuses are at Mukteswar, Distt. Nainital (Uttarakhand), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and regional stations at Palampur (HP), Kolkata (West Bengal), and Pune (Maharashtra). Bareilly, Uttar PradeshThe details of the candidates called for counselling will be mentioned on the website of the institute and no separate information will be sent. All candidates called should personally present at the above venue as per the date mentioned. If the person is not present no admission will be allowed to that candidate.
