In recent years, the demands for EMBA programs have multiplied manifold and the most surprising aspects are that the same can be achieved without the CAT or GMAT scores. The doors are not closed for admissions to the EMBA programs for the executives working in different organizations engaged in raising the output of the companies. What is needed for such executives is to locate such management institutions where they can conveniently secure their seats with the least effort.

There are a few management institutions like the IIM Lucknow, IIT Delhi, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, etc where the aspirants can try their luck to secure their admissions provided they fulfil the following criteria-
1) A Bachelor's Degree regardless of the stream- The candidates should have passed the graduations irrespective of their streams with not less than 50% marks in their final exams. However, the cut-off as indicated above might not be applicable to all the management institutions and to know the exact eligibility criteria regarding the minimum scores of a particular management institution, the candidates should verify personally relating to the cut-off mark of each individual institution.
2) Age limit- Some management schools might place an age limit for inducting candidates for the EMBA qualifications. In most of the management institutions, the age limit remains within the age brackets of 25 to 35 years. This parameter needs to be confirmed by the institutions where they are interested in securing their admissions.
3) Work - experience- This is the single most important criterion for obtaining a favour from the management institution by virtue of work experience. The candidates must have earned at least five years of experience in the capacity of the working manager in any organization preferably in a manufacturing company.
4) Professional Skills- The candidates might be interviewed by the authorities of the management to judge their managerial skills during their interviews. The interview committee would ask a lot of questions related to their working conditions and would assess their managerial skills.
5) Other tests - The management institutes might conduct an entrance test, a language test, and an essay test to assess the potential of the candidates.
There might be a session of the group discussion to know the communication skills of the candidates.
Sometimes the personal interview might be a tricky one when they are asked about their future career goals or some questions of those sorts.
6) Letters of recommendation/ a Sponsorship letter- Most management schools in India and abroad need at least two letters of recommendation from the candidates.
In case, the candidates are sponsored by the employers, they need to submit their letters of sponsorship issued by the employers.

My answer to your question is Yes.

The eligibility criteria for EMBA are an undergraduate degree and then some professional experience. The years of experience required may vary from institute to institute. The experience asked for will be a minimum of 5 years. Some institutes may ask for experience of up to 14 years. As they take experienced persons, such institutes are not asking for a GMAT or CAT score. Some institutes may ask candidates to attend an entrance test conducted by the institute to assess their capabilities. To join EMBA the candidate may have to submit an endorsement letter from the employer. They should also submit a recommendation letter from the employer.

So if you have sufficient experience as mentioned above and if your present employer gives you an endorsement letter and recommendation letter, you can apply for EMBA without CAT or GMAT.
