Following is the exam pattern for the CAT examination in 2024: 1) Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension: 24 Questions 2) Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning: 20 Questions 3) Quantitative Aptitude: 22 questions
Each question carries 3 marks, and if the student answers incorrectly, 1 mark is deducted. The student should complete each section in 40 minutes. The students can score a maximum of 198 marks.
How to Apply for CAT 2024
Go to the official site CAT to fill out the form. Then find the option 'Registration of Non-IIM Institutions for CAT 2023." Then choose 'Login', and as you scroll down, you can further find the option 'New User, Register." To register your name, you should enter some details and submit information. Then an OTP is sent as a notification to your mobile, and hence you can verify your registration and enter the OTP in the provided field. You can use the user ID and password to login to your account. After filling out the form, you should upload documents such as ID proof and photographs. Proceed towards payment of fees online through a credit card, debit card, or net banking according to your category. If you belong to the General Category, EWS, or NC-OBC, then pay Rs. 2400. If you are SC/ST and PwD, then pay Rs. 1200. After payment, a receipt is generated, and a copy of the printout is saved.

Students who want to get admitted to MBA in top management institutes should attend this test and should score good scores. One of the IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) conducts this Test once a year on a rotation basis. IIM Bangalore conducted CAT 2022. IIM Lucknow conducted this test for the year 2023.
The CAT exam will be in three sections. These sections are Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The duration of the examination is 2 hours and each section should be completed in a maximum of 40 minutes.
To qualify for CAT, a candidate must have finished or be appearing for his or her Bachelor's Degree, final year examination from any university, incorporated or declared to be deemed under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
It requires a lot of dedicated effort to get a good score in the CAT. One should start preparing for the examination well in advance make a timetable and follow the timetable for preparation. Last-minute preparation is not sufficient for this examination. Attending a good coaching institute is suggested. Answering old question papers and attending mock examinations will be good for the CAT examination.
If a student clears CAT and gets admitted to any IIM, need not look back and will have an excellent career prospectus. The official announcement for CAT 2024 is expected in July 2024. CAT 2023 is the official website for last year.
