Chennai IIT has launched a BS course in data science and application. It is an undergraduate course in Electronic Systems through online mode. It is a four-year degree program. The objective of the program is to meet the significant and growing demand for skilled graduates in the electronics and embedded manufacturing sector in India.

Eligibility
1.Those candidates who have completed class 12 with Physics and Maths can apply irrespective of age, role, or geographical location.2. There is no age limit.
Admission procedure
Admission to the program's foundation level will be done in two ways, either through a regular entry or through the JEE-based entry. In the regular entry, candidates can be admitted by completing the qualifier process while in the JEE-based entry, candidates can appear for the most recent JEE Advanced and are directly admitted to the Foundation Level.Contact

Chennai IIT has launched an undergraduate course in Electronic Systems through the online mode. It is open to all students who have completed class twelve with a recognized board with the combination of Physics and Mathematics irrespective of their age and location.
Explaining the need of introduction of this course, IIT Chennai Director Sri V. Kamakoti has opined that Mobility Solutions including Mobile Phones and Electronic Vehicles have become an inseparable component of our modern life and hence there is room for an introduction of such a course to benefit the students.
The graduates of this program would acquire strong fundamentals related to electronic industries. BS in Electronic System has been designed to prepare workforce which is based upon Tamil Nadu Electronics Hardware Manufacturing Policy.
The students will carry out internship/ apprenticeship for two to eight months to be decided by the authorities of IIT.
The course has been formulated with multiple exits for the students if they want so. They can also take up either a certification course or a diploma course of the shorter duration in accordance with their needs. For the regular students, it is a four year degree course.
The students will be provided with recorded video lectures, reading materials, weekly assessments, tutorials and doubt clearing sessions. All these facilities would be provided through the online mode. Exams and labs will have to be attended in person. Scholarships are also available for eligible financially backward students.
