College of Insurance Certificate Courses in Insurance

The College of Insurance (COI), Mumbai which is under the aegis of the Insurance Institute of India, offers insurance certificate courses in online, offline, and hybrid modes in various fields of insurance for which professionals, students, and those keen to launch their career in insurance are welcome to apply. Currently, registrations are ongoing and if you hurry you can apply before registration closes today! In case you miss the registration deadline, though, contact the admission officials before classes begin.
The 4-month course is to be completed through self-study, with 3 days of contact through online classes. These classes will be for a total of 18 hours, basically to answer your queries. The study material will be sent to you as a soft copy. The exam that will be conducted at the end of the course will be in the format of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Course fee: Rs. 5900/- (including GST).
Start date: 6th January 2024.
The 4-month course will be conducted online through virtual classes, with a total of 90 hours of teaching through three-hour sessions on weekends only. The exam that will be conducted at the end of the course will be in the format of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Course fee: Rs. Rs. 11,800/- (including GST).
Start date: 6th January 2024.
The 3-month course will be conducted in hybrid mode through Classroom sessions/Virtual Training sessions at the College of InsuranceI, Kolkata. There will be a total of 100 hours of teaching over weekends only.
Course fee: Rs. 18,880/- (including GST) for Classroom training, and Rs. 14,160 /- (including GST) for Virtual training.
Start date: 6th January 2024.
This is a short-term course of just 5 days that will be conducted in classroom training sessions at the College of Insurance, Mumbai. There will be a total of 30 hours of teaching and you can register as a residential participant or as a non-residential participant.
Course Fee: Rs. 29,500/- (including GST) for residential participants and Rs. 21,240/- (including GST) for non-residential participants.
Dates: 8th to 12th January 2024.

Certificate course on Insurance Marketing
This course includes modules that will train you to market and sell an insurance product and offer efficient customer service. You will thus learn about the features of insurance products, relevant proposal forms, the process of claims settlement, communication etiquette with customers, etc. Financial planning vis-à-vis insurance and digital marketing will also be part of the training course.The 4-month course is to be completed through self-study, with 3 days of contact through online classes. Advanced Certificate Course in Health Insurance – Virtual (ACHIV)
Through this course you will be equipped to deal with the operational aspects of health insurance. You will learn all about health insurance practices and documentation, pricing, concepts of risk management, legal aspects of insurance contracts, types of frauds in health insurance and how to mitigate them, health insurance underwriting, etc.The 4-month course will be conducted online through virtual classes, with a total of 90 hours of teaching through three-hour sessions on weekends only. The exam that will be conducted at the end of the course will be in the format of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Certificate Course on General Insurance
Through this course you will first receive training in the fundamentals of insurance, such as essential elements of contracts, the procedure of claims, renewal procedures, etc. Then the lessons will include fire perils, engineering insurance, personal accident cover and other policies specific to a profession or business (such as hotels or petrol pumps or aviation), basics of liability, marine insurance aspects, vehicle insurance, etc. HR and marketing aspects will also be covered. Project and Case Studies are also part of this certificate course.The 3-month course will be conducted in hybrid mode through Classroom sessions/Virtual Training sessions at the College of InsuranceI, Kolkata.
