COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE difference

Both COMEDK and Uni-GAUGE exams are entrance test exams for admission to Engineering courses conducted by the ERA Foundation - Educational Rating and Assessment Foundation - a non-profit foundation. The principle is "One entrance exam admission to many universities"
COMEDK-UGET
COMEDK-UGET is a common entrance examination for admission to Graduate courses in about more than 150 colleges in Karnataka, The K after COMED denotes Karnataka. (Before the implementation of the NEET exam COMEDK was also an entrance test for Medical and Dental colleges in Karnataka). COMEDK UGET is conducted at a large number of places all over the country. Hence students residing outside Karnataka also can attend the test and apply for the State quota if they are eligible for it.
Uni-GAUGE
The Uni-GAUGE exam is an entrance test for admission to graduate Engineering courses in some private colleges & deemed universities across India.
While COMEDK is for admission to Engineering courses in colleges in Karnataka, the Uni-GAUGE test is an entrance examination for Graduate courses in Engineering streams of about 33 Engineering colleges and Universities across India, that are participating members of Uni-GAUGE. Most of them are private colleges and Deemed universities in the private sector spread across many states.
Common points for COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE:
Both COMEDK and Uni-GAUGE exams are now conducted as a Single combined examination, but separate scorecards are given for each.
The entrance test for both is conducted online in 200+ cities across India.
Application forms and Admission Ticket are common. However, students have to register for COMEDK alone, or for Uni-GAUGE alone, or for both, by specifying and paying the concerned fees.
Differences between COMEDK and Uni-GAUGE
COMEDK-UGET: The Test is for admission to Graduate Engineering courses in colleges to about more than 200 colleges in Karnataka only. The Scorecard is given with percentile and Rank, and there is Centralized online counselling. Details and updates will be available on the COMEDK website. All the colleges for COMEDK are located in Karnataka.
Uni-GAUGE: The Scorecard is given with scores and not rank. Students have to separately apply to each affiliated member university of the Uni-GAUGE. Hence counselling is also as per individual member university and individual websites.
