Relating the good perks and salaries would depend on where the office clerk has been posted such as a central government school, a public school, a state government school, a school formed by a committee or a school managed by a public undertaking unit. Following are the details of their perks and emoluments depending upon their place of posting -
1) Let us consider that the office clerk has been posted in a central government higher secondary school, he would be placed on a scale as recommended by the appointing authority with his basic salary coupled with the Dearness Allowance applicable to his fitment salary. If it is his fresh appointment, he would draw an approximate salary of Rs 20,000/ - per month including DA. The DA component is subject to revision periodically.
2) If the selection has been made to a higher secondary school attached to a Public Undertaking Unit, the candidate would enjoy the salary and perks as decided by the appointing authority. For the freshers, it could be anything between 15,000/ - to 20,000/ - per month including the conveyance allowance for which he is entitled.
3) In case of an appointment in a Public School, the fresher would receive payment as decided by the governing committee. It would differ from academy to academy depending upon the society with which it is attached. The public-school administration often applies bargaining power to fix the salary. Moreover, the candidate is put to multiple tasks very often to conserve the finances of the school.
4) If a school is located in a village and the same is managed by a registered society, the office clerk might not get more than Rs 10, 000/- per month in the initial stage. However, the plus point of such an appointment is that he might get a good offer at a later stage with his experience.

It all depends on the school.
1. If it is a government school a clerk will get a salary and other benefits as per the government rules that are applicable from time to time. They will get promotions also and they can enjoy all the benefits of a government employee.
2. If the school belongs to corporate houses, a clerk may be getting a good salary based on the capacity of the school. He will have heavy work compared to a clerk in a government school and his payment may be less than the salary of a clerk in a government school.
3. If the school is a small school with a smaller number of teachers and students, the salaries paid in those schools will be less only and promotion chances will be less only.
