French is one among he widely spoken and used language in the world. It is official languages in many countries. French is also one of he languages that can be learnt easily and fast. In India it is learnt by many who would like to work, study or migrate to not only France but to many European countries. Knowledge of French will be an added asset and skill for Indian students and Youth.
Just as in any other course or learning French Language course is available at all similar levels- school, college/undergraduate, post graduate and higher levels and as certificate course .

Many schools and colleges offer French as one subject in their curriculum syllabus as an elective choice subject.(My son had learned French in school for an year in Mumbai that way).

In India, The French Institute in India(Institut Francais Inde) a part of French Embassy in India and Alliance française are the prime organisation that is pioneering and dedicating to promote French language. Branches of Alliance Francaise is available at all main metros in India and there are franchises or tied up institutions in other cities too. They give courses at various levels suitable to age and requirements starting from course for beginners. They had started registration for Beginners summer classes 2023 from March 2023. Many Universities like Delhi University, Madras University ,are offering French Courses.
IGNOU by their School of foreign languages(SOFL) is offering French course by distance education. Details can be obtained from their website::http://www.ignou.ac.in/.

Online French Courses are offered by Indian Institute of Foreign Languages. They offer courses starting from A1 Beginner level to Master LevlC2.. Specific and more details can be from their website: iifls.com.
. The other platforms that offer French Language courses are ,Udemy, Edx, Coursera ,Duolingo etc.

Introduction


French is the most important language and is spoken globally. The French language is taught in undergraduate, postgraduate, M. Phill and Doctoral courses in India. You can also do a certificate or diploma course to learn the French language. There are many colleges which offer diplomas and degrees in foreign language courses including the French language. The course completes in 1 to 3 years depending on the type of course. You can do the course online or offline.

Eligibility


If you want BA in French then you have to complete 10+2 from any recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks and if you want to do MA in French then you have to complete graduation with a French subject with a minimum of 50% marks. BA is a three years course while MA is a two years course.

There are some good institutes in India where one can enrol in the French learning course.
