Has NIT Patna got its own campus or still running in the old Govt Polytechnic building?

The National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT Patna) is currently functioning from the same campus in Patna city as it has been all these years. As per a news update of August 2022 at the official website of NIT Patna, it seems the academic session starting from July 2024 will likely be at the new campus at Sikandarpur village, Bihta, which is located in the District of Patna but about 35-40kms from the capital city.
The lush green new campus when fully completed will cover an expanse of about 125 acres with solar panels installed. Initially, approx. 2500 students will be able to study in the campus' first stage development (about 50 acres). Then will follow two more stages of expansion that will eventually facilitate the education of over 6000 students. The campus will have all the required infrastructure and facilities, with classrooms, libraries, and laboratories for every department. Students can expect to have good facilities on the new campus once it is fully functional.

The institution was first founded in 1886 as the Bihar School of Engineering, and in 2004 it received the designation of National Institute of Technology (NIT).
