If you're looking to join a marine engineering course in India, then you're in luck! My friend enrolled in a marine engineering program and has had a great experience so far.

He chose the Bharati Vidyapeeth University in Pune, which offers a 4-year B.Tech program in Marine Engineering. With this program, students learn about the principles of marine engineering, design and operation of marine propulsion systems, and the maintenance of marine vessels. The course also covers topics such as ship stability, hydrodynamics, marine engineering technology, and naval architecture.

To be eligible for the course, my friend had to have a minimum aggregate score of 50% in his 10+2 examination from a recognized board, and had to pass an entrance exam and interview conducted by the university. After getting accepted, he was required to pay a fee of around Rs. 1.5 lakhs per year.

My friend has really enjoyed his time in the marine engineering course so far. He has been exposed to a lot of practical experience, learning how to design and operate ships, as well as how to maintain them. He has also had the opportunity to participate in several industry visits, which have allowed him to gain valuable insights into the field of marine engineering.

Overall, the marine engineering course in India is a great way to get a comprehensive understanding of the field and gain hands-on experience. If you're looking to join a course like this, I highly recommend looking into the Bharati Vidyapeeth University in Pune.

The admission process for a marine engineering graduation course is also like for any other engineering graduation course.

There are IITs and public as well as private universities offering this course. The International Maritime Institute IMU), Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies, and TMU Pune are some institutes offering this course. The admission procedure for this course is also like for any other engineering course.

A candidate seeking admission to this course should complete the 12th class or its equivalent with Mathematics and Physical sciences. Then the entrance test is to be cleared. This test will not be the same for all the institutes. IMU CET, JEE Advanced, HIMT, JEE Mains, TMISAT etc are some of the entrance tests. The seats will be allotted based on the rank obtained in the entrance test.

So if you want to join a marine engineering course, complete your 12th class or equivalent with mathematics and physical sciences. Then select the college or university in which you want to study and apply for the entrance test. You will be allotted a seat based on the rank you got in your entrance test.

When I decided to study marine engineering education in India, I first reviewed the eligibility requirements to ensure that I was eligible. I had finished my 10+2 schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as required courses, and I had a legitimate JEE Main entrance exam score.
Then I looked at Indian institutions and universities that provided marine engineering programmes. I discovered that the Indian Maritime University (IMU) was one of the best colleges in the country for marine engineering studies, so I applied there.
Following my application for the JEE Main entrance exam, I attended IMU counselling sessions to select the college and course of my choosing. During these meetings, I asked many questions and received answers to all of my concerns about the course and college.
After completing the admissions process, I began attending classes and discovered that the subject was really engaging. We learnt about ship design, marine propulsion systems, and marine machinery, among other facets of maritime engineering.
Ultimately, studying marine engineering in India was a fantastic experience for me. That took a lot of planning and preparation, but it was well worth it. The knowledge and skills I learned during the training have been extremely beneficial to my profession as a marine engineer.
