Today students have to study a big syllabus and cannot retain everything in their minds. In this situation, I strongly believe that students have to make precise and crisp study notes as per their understanding and ability to recollect details through those jotted points. One very important thing is that the preciseness and length of the notes about a chapter or topic will vary as per the capability and intelligence of the student. Every student is not alike in these matters as they have different levels of intelligence and capabilities. So while preparing the notes the student must ponder as to what level one has to summarise the topic. Of course, that would eventually come with practice and experience.

If notes are made correctly then it would become very useful at examination time when there is no point in referring to the textbooks. Notes are to be made in such a fashion that just by glimpsing at them one should remember the whole thing in a moment. It means that seriousness, concentration, and focus adhered to during note preparation will yield good dividends later. When I was doing my UG course then I was finding difficulty in remembering the tricks and tips that were used in solving some of the questions in Mathematics. Each of those questions had some particular trick to solve and it was not possible to remember all of them. So what my professor suggested to me was to note down in brief about those questions and also mention hints for their solutions.

I want to add that there is no second opinion that notes should be made legibly and clearly and there should not be any time lost in locating or reading them. Students must remember that neat and clean notes having rich content embedded therein are a great support during the examination period when they have to revise the whole course to freshen up and the only way is to go through the notes.

Writing is 10 times better than reading. This is what my father used to tell me when I was in high school studies. So I used to write important points while hearing a lecture reading a book or seeing a video. Many people are having the habit of highlighting the important points with a marker. But to see back this information, one should remember the book and refer to the book when one needs it. Instead of that if the individual is having the habit of noting down the points in a notebook, that book will become a reference book and it will become easy to refer back to.

The following are some of the advantages of making a note of important, crisp and precise notes during studying.

1. The notes will become a single focal point for quick reference.

2. When the points are noted down, one can understand the subject well and in case of any doubts the same can be clarified by asking a teacher or a parent.

3. A lot of time can be saved in referring books.

4. After finishing the course, one can refresh the subject by going through these notes. I know many tuition teachers who make a crisp note and give the same to the student. When I was doing my under graduation, one of my friends used to go for home tuition to one of the lecturers. The lecturer prepared notes and used to give the students going for tuition to him. That notebook covers the syllabus.

5. If one is having the habit of referring to many books, the chances of confusion will be more. Instead of that if one refers to the notes there will not be any chance for confusion and their level of confidence will improve.

I my opinion, making crisp and precise notes during studies can help a student in several ways, ultimately leading to better performance in exams. Here are some ways:

1. Retention: Writing notes helps in retaining the information. When students summarize and organize the material in their own words, they are more likely to remember it.

2. Understanding: Taking notes helps students understand the concepts better. When students are writing down the main points, they are forced to think about the material more deeply and critically.

3. Time-saving: Having well-organized notes can save time while studying. Instead of going through a whole textbook or lecture again, students can review their notes and refresh their memory quickly.

4. Revision: Notes provide a great resource for revision. When students are preparing for exams, they can use their notes to review the material and test their understanding.

5. Confidence: Well-prepared notes can help students feel more confident during exams. When students have organized notes to refer to, they can approach the exam with more confidence and less anxiety.

6. Higher grades: By helping with retention, understanding, time-saving, revision, and confidence, good notes can lead to better grades.

Making crisp and precise notes during studies is an effective way for students to retain, understand, and remember the material. It saves time, improves confidence, and ultimately leads to better performance in exams.

When I was in my college my professors used to give important notes and ask everyone to write in short. Making crisp and precise notes during studies is an effective way for students to retain information, organize their thoughts, and perform better on exams. Here are a few reasons why:

When students make notes, they are actively engaging with the material and processing it in a way that promotes understanding and retention. Writing things down in their own words helps to reinforce concepts and ideas in their memory, making it easier to recall during exams. By summarizing key concepts in their own words, students are able to organize their thoughts and create a clear and concise understanding of the material. This helps them to connect ideas and identify patterns, making it easier to understand complex topics.

During exam preparation, students often need to review large volumes of material. Making crisp and precise notes helps to condense the information into a more manageable format, making it easier to study and review. Notes provide an efficient and effective way to revise and review material before exams. They help to focus on the most important points, refresh memory, and build confidence in the material.

Hence we can say that making crisp and precise notes during studies is an important tool for students to improve their understanding of the material and perform better on exams. It helps in the retention of information, organization of thoughts, time-saving, and revision and review of the material.

Writing is in so many ways efficacious than reading. I always felt that reading is effortless, it is a personal opinion, and never helped me in the long run. For instance, such as just before the exam, reading through works as it is easier to retain in the memory for a short while. Writing, however, makes me think. I have to assure myself that I'm writing the right thing and I'm not making any mistakes. Moreover, writing can be helpful by merging diagrams, which makes it more memorable. Writing definitely helps in organizing the information and making it easier to understand. Finally, the best part of making crisp and clear notes is that you can always go through them anytime with ease and less time to understand and clear all the doubts you have. You can even make going through these notes a routine so that you remember everything wihtout much trouble!
