India is a thickly populated country having almost 17.5% of the world population. Almost 50% of the population are young and there are about 480 million people in the age group of 5 to 25 as per the reports, I believe.

The barriers between the countries are vanishing and global village concept is taking a higher priority. So Indian young generation should ready to take up any responsibility anywhere in the world and should give tough competition to the younger generation of other countries. Then only young people from India will have a bright future. So, to achieve this our education standards should be on par with international standards and make our students ready to take up tasks readily once they are out of college or University. For this a student should acquire some important skills in addition to academic knowledge. Here in this aspect the international boards are helping our students who opt for studying the courses in the schools affiliated to these international boards.

The technology is developing fast and we are seeing technological revolutions. Accordingly, changes are taking place in education field also. Globally we are seeing a shift in the education needs also due to the evolution of Artificial intelligence. A big change is needed in the curriculum also. Personalised learning and skills are required to have a place in the working areas in future. The big question that comes to all our minds is that the present education system in India is ready or not. In my opinion India must do still a lot of work in this area. Here the international boards are coming into picture and making good efforts to train our Indians by granting affiliation to some of the educational institutes in our country.

Indian students and parents also recognised this need and looking at the schools that are having affiliation of international boards. Of late, we are seeing some schools going for these boards and getting affiliation of boards like International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge International. International boards are designing their modules in such a way that the students who come out of their schools will compete successfully globally with other students from other boards This is a welcome development and I feel in the coming days many such schools will come up. As India is also growing economically also, many parents can afford this schooling to their children, I feel.

Because of the International boards in India, I believe many students can go abroad and obtain degrees that are essential for the next generation and many students from India can also compete globally and may settle across the globe with lucrative jobs.

The international boards teach according to the global curriculum which is Internationally approved. Students studying from such global boards can study abroad more easily in comparison to other students from Indian boards. Some universities abroad exempt such students from English proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL for admission in various courses. Although schools offering such qualifications are expensive to afford for most students in India. Those who can afford can surely benefit from such qualifications.
