Author: Sankalan Bhattacharya Post Date: 31 May 2023 As an ardent follower of the Art of Living foundation, I would like to begin with a quote from Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar - "Like a flower bud, human life has the potential to blossom fully. Blossoming of human potential to fullness is yoga
Yoga, when practiced regularly helps to heal our body and mind. Yoga has a great impact on our physical and emotional well-being and to get the benefit of Yoga one has to practice it regularly. Mental stress is on the rise globally, and if one has a passion to practice and promote healthy body and mind through Yoga then she/he can become a teacher and impart necessary training to the youth and old alike.
Ministry of Ayush, Government of India has a couple of certified courses on Yoga and interested learners can choose any of them according to their suitability. Apart from these courses, a lot of institutes are there that offer training to become a Yoga teacher. The thing is to learn it properly and promote it.
Before going into the details of the courses, I would like to share a couple of important things. Yoga consists of physical postures, breathing techniques, meditation, etc and most importantly the effect of it on our daily lives. The physical structure and capability of individuals are different. So, before trying any yogic posture it is advisable to do it under the guidance of a teacher so that you are not hurt after practising the postures. Some postures may not be advisable for everyone because of certain health issues and all such issues must be discussed with the yoga teacher before practising it.
