My sister worked as Hindi Teacher in a CBSE school in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. She did her Rastra Bhasha Praveena examination that is being conducted by Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Hyderabad after her tenth class. This degree is equivalent to BA.

Then she underwent a Hindi Pandit Training course offered by the same institute in a training college in Ankapalle in Andhra Pradesh. This training is equivalent to Secondary grade training. While working she did her MA in Hindi also.

The above-mentioned method is one of the ways to become a Grade I or Grade II Hindi pandit in government schools.

Another way to become a Hindi teacher is
1. The candidate should complete Under Graduate course with Hindi as one of the major subjects.
2. The candidate should complete a B.Ed course of 2 years duration selecting Hindi as one of the subjects in the training subjects.

3. Candidates having higher qualifications like MA or PhD with B.Ed or M. Ed will also be eligible.

The candidates after possessing the above qualifications should apply for the Teacher Eligibility test and they should clear that examination. Such candidates are eligible to apply for Hindi teacher posts against the advertisements given by various authorities. There will be a written test followed by an interview for the final selection. These are the requirements for a teacher post in all government schools.

There are many private schools where Hindi teachers are appointed. The candidates should go and personally meet the Head Master of the School and apply for the post.

But as far as my knowledge goes the payments in Private schools will be less and there is no uniformity in pay scales in private schools.
