China is a fast developing and the world's second-largest economy. There are very good universities and institutions in which MBBS is offered. Indian students can join these colleges and complete the course. Before taking a decision on joining a college in China, please go through the following points.

1. The Embassy of India in Beijing, China website, says that students who pursued MBBS or any other equivalent course in any foreign country including China, have to clear the 'Foreign Medical Graduates Exam' if they want to practice in India.

2. It is also mentioned on the same website that those who want to study MBBS in China had to clear 'NEET-UG'.

3. As per the website every year a list of institutions and scale of enrollment in China will be issued by the PRC. Ministry of Education (MOE), This list will have the details of the institutions that are authorised by the government for that year. Students who studied in such institutes only will get an eligibility letter from MCI to appear for the FMGE test.

4. The website also says that MCI will issue eligibility certificates to students who studied MBBS in English medium only. MCI will issue eligibility certificates to attend the FMGE test only to those who studied in these institutions in English medium only.

5. Another point to note is India will not accept MBBS degrees obtained by studying the degree completely online.

So a student who wants to study in China should visit the Website of the Indian Embassy in China and select the college mentioned in the list placed on that site and should join in English medium only, I suggest.

If the student after completing the course settles in China, there is no problem. You can join any college in any medium. But to come back to India and start practising here you must see that the college you select should satisfy the above condition.

Details of MBBS in China:

Course duration: 6 years including 1 year internship.

Eligibility: At the time of admission the student should be 17 to 25 years of age. The minimum age is 17 years and the maximum age is 25 years.

The student should have passed the 12th class with a minimum of 50% and the score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together should be a minimum of 60%.

The candidate should have a valid passport. The candidate should qualify in NEET.

Admission Process: Once you decide on the college, you should go to the website of the college and fill up the application as mentioned on their website and the documents asked for should be uploaded. Once the application is submitted, the institute will scrutinise the application and will send you the allotment /confirmation letter. Once the letter is received, the fees are to be paid. After paying the fee, an application for VISA is to be made. Once the VISA is sanctioned, the student can go to China and start pursuing the course.

With the above information. I say that China is one of the best desirable destinations for MBBS. The following are some Positive points.

1. Low Cost

2. Quality Education

3. MCI-approved institutes are there in CHINA.

4. Colleges are having good infrastructure and facilities.

5. Admission process is not much complicated.

6. China is a safe place as government rules are very strict.
