How to get admission to any AIIMS institute after Class 12 - Eligibility, Fees, Application Process

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is one of the best institutes in India for medical courses. There are 9 AIIMS in India. They are in New Delhi, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra.
These institutes offer MBBS and some other undergraduate courses. The following are the courses offered by AIIMS-
1. MBBS
2. B.Sc (Hons) Nursing
3. Paramedical courses
4. B.Sc (Hons) Medical Technology
5. B.Sc Ophthalmic Techniques
A candidate who wants to be admitted to MBBS at an AIIMS should write the NEET exam and the rank obtained in NEET is the criteria for admission. For the remaining UG courses, AIIMS will conduct an entrance test and candidates should attend the same. Based on the rank obtained in this exam a candidate will be allotted a seat.
Admission Procedure:
A candidate should apply for the NEET examination
He should then apply for admission to AIIMS
AIIMS will conduct counselling and based on the rank seats will be allotted.
Eligibility:
1. Candidates who passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects and got a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English are eligible to apply. 40% is the minimum mark for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
2. The candidate must have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as of December 31st of the year of admission. No upper age limit is prescribed.
3. Candidates who are qualified in NEET only are eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure Selection will be done based on the entrance-based test for all UG courses, namely, the NEET UG exam which is conducted by NTA. Based on marks obtained in the entrance examination, candidates can take part in the online seat allocation process conducted for all the AIIMS campuses. The AIIMS admission is confirmed only after verification of documents and final admission is given after the fee payment.
