How to get MBBS admission without NEET in Kerala?

I am happy to say that my friend got MBBS without NEET. He is now studying MBBS in a private hospital in Kerala. He also had the same doubt when he initially thought about choosing MBBS. In India NEET is the standard entrance test for MBBS admission. To be accepted into any medical college in Kerala, prospective medical students must successfully complete the NEET exam. NEET is not always required, yet, for admission to the MBBS programme in Kerala. For instance, certain private medical colleges in Kerala may have management quota seats where admission is dependent on the applicant's academic standing and/or other factors, or they may provide MBBS seats through their own entrance tests. But this can be costly and very expensive when compared to obtaining admission by topping the charts in NEET. My friend was able to secure admission for MBBS without NEET as he was from a financially rich background.

In Kerala one can appear in KEAM entrance exam which is the gateway to engineering, architecture, and medical education. So, in addition to the national level exam that is NEET one can explore the feasibility of appearing in KEAM and getting a seat in MBBS course. The eligibility to appear in KEAM is class XII pass with 50% marks.
In Kerala seats are already allocated for NEET as well as KEAM in various institutions. Final allocation of seats for candidates is made through a round of counselling sessions depending on the category of candidates, their scores, and their choice of Institutions.
