The questions of general science are asked in almost every competitive examination in India. For general knowledge purposes, science is the main subject. I am providing the steps to prepare general science for competition exam topic-wise:

Units of measurements
The units of measurement are asked in almost every competitive examination. For example, basic SI units, units of speed, acceleration, velocity, force, pressure, energy, magnetic field, etc must be learned from a reliable source for good preparation.

Inventors and Inventions
Inventors and inventions are also asked in competition examinations on a regular basis. You must learn about different inventions and inventors. You must also learn about the country of the inventors.

Human body
Human anatomy is the main subject in many examinations. So, you must learn the different organs of the human body and their functions. You must also learn about the problems or diseases caused by different systems of the human body. Questions like the biggest and smallest bones, cells, and glands should also be learnt.

Diseases
Dieseas are caused by pathogens. There are different pathogens like viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoans, etc. You must remember the diseases caused by different pathogens. You must also learn the deficiency diseases caused by the lack of some nutrients.

so, try the above steps and I hope you would be able to score good marks in general science in any competition examination.

General Science mainly consists of questions from Physics, chemistry and Biology. To answer questions from these subjects the candidate should have a good understanding of the basics of the subject.

A student who is thorough in these subjects will stand a better chance to clear the competitive examinations. A strong understanding of the basics is very important. What we study in our higher school and 12th standard level is sufficient to answer these questions.

NCERT books for 10th, 11th and 12th Standard are very good to understand this subject well. Go through the subject and understand the various principles and try to apply them in our real-life examples. That will make you understand the theory well.

There are many books available in the market giving many multiple-answer questions, short-answer questions and fill in blanks etc. in the market. Read the chapters in the textbooks and then answer questions from the above-mentioned books. Don't see the answers till you answer all the questions. While answering in case of any doubt you can go through the test book and then answer. Like this practice every chapter.

Try to answer some model papers available. In case of any doubts, you can contact teachers of these subjects and get the doubts cleared. Once you understand the underlying formulas and theories, it will become easy for you to understand the subject. Mugging up the subject is of no use.

One of the best ways I have found to prepare for General Science in competitive exams is to go through past papers and understand the pattern and type of questions asked. This helps to build a good foundation and gives an idea of what to expect in the exam. Additionally, I have also found it helpful to practice doing multiple-choice questions, which can help test one's knowledge and identify any areas that need further improvement. Furthermore, I have found that having an organized study plan and breaking down the material into manageable chunks can make studying for General Science much easier and more effective. Finally, I have also found it beneficial to work with a study partner or join a study group, as it can help to keep one motivated and ensure that one stays on track with their studies.
