The Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) was established in the year 1984. IIHMR University was established and incorporated as a postgraduate research university by the Government of Rajasthan in the year 2014. IIHMR University has started the Ph.D. program in 2014. The duration of the Ph.D. program for full-time scholars is three to six years. The duration of the Ph.D. program for part-time scholars is four to seven years.
Note: Candidates who qualify UGC- NET (including JRF/ UGC-CSIR NET / SLET and those who have passed the MPhil program are exempted from the entrance test and will be called for an interview

Eligibility for Full-time Research Scholars
Candidates who have secured a minimum of 55% of marks in a Master's degree in the appropriate discipline of any recognized institute/ university or equivalent can apply. A relaxation of 5% in qualifying marks is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and Differently abled persons or categories decided by UGC.Eligibility for Part-time Research Scholars
In addition to the fulfillment of eligibility for Full-Time Research Scholars, candidates must have permission from the employer to pursue a Ph.D. program and must have all the facilities at the place of work for pursuing research.Application process
Candidates need to submit their application online on the official university website by 12th March 2024. Candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs. 2000/- online which is non-refundable.Admission process
The admission process includes two steps - IIHMR Research Aptitude Test (IRAT) and a personal interview. Candidates need to secure a minimum of 55% of marks in IRAT to qualify. IRAT paper consists of 100 objective type multiple choice questions. The syllabus consists of 50% research methodology and 50% subject-specific (including reasoning, English language proficiency, research aptitude, and basic quantitive analysis).
