IIT Madras EMBA Degree Program Fees, Structure, Eligibility, Selection Process

The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at the Department of Management Studies (DoMS), Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is a 2-year degree program for working professionals. You can also enroll for the course as a company-sponsored candidate and submit a sponsorship letter from your employer in the prescribed format that is available on the official website.
IIT Madras EMBA program structure: The program will provide an in-depth blended learning experience to equip you with the expertise and skills to take up a leadership role in your organization. The pragmatic curriculum is designed to provide experiential and integrated courses with projects. You will get access to all the academic and non-academic facilities of IIT Madras, and will greatly benefit through interactions with peers who have diverse work experiences.
What you will learn-
There are four main components of the EMBA program:
The Department has just recently given an exciting opportunity for those enrolled in the earlier batch to opt for an International Immersion Learning Program. Through this program, they were provided a special learning experience for the duration of 10 days at the internationally reputed IESEG School of Management, Paris, France. This program is not mandatory, though, and you need not take it up if you are not keen to do so.
Duration: 2 years spread over 8 Quarters with in-person classes on weekends, mostly alternate (Saturday & Sunday) at the IIT Madras campus.
IIT Madras EMBA Application Fee: Rs. 1,500/. This fee is not refundable.
IIT Madras EMBA Program Fee: The total fee for the EMBA program is INR 17 lakhs. You can pay INR 4.25 lakhs per semester for four semesters. Those who opt for the International Learning Program mentioned earlier will have to pay the additional fee for it, as applicable.
Work Experience: It is essential to have at least 3 years of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree program, as of 31st December 2023.
Note: Other than the photo and signature, all documents should be in PDF format of less than 1MB in size.
2024 EMBA Program Schedule: The schedule for applying for admission to the 2024 batch is as follows-
The last date to submit online applications for admission to the EMBA program is 18th October 2023 up to 11.59 p.m.
If you are shortlisted, you will have to be present at the IIT Madras campus in the first week of November on the given dates for the EMBA selection process. This process includes a written aptitude test as well as a personal interview.
The result of the selection process will be announced by December 2023 and the EMBA program will begin in January 2024.

IIT Madras EMBA Eligibility criteria
Academic Qualifications: You need to have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with 60% and above in the qualifying exam.Work Experience: It is essential to have at least 3 years of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree program, as of 31st December 2023.
IIT Madras EMBA Application procedure
The applications for admission to the EMBA program should be submitted online only. All relevant documents should be uploaded, and the application fee should be paid online as well. The documents that are required to be submitted during the online application process are-- Passport size photo and scanned image of signature (both in JPEG format)
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets
- Bachelor's Degree Certificate and mark sheets
- Letters indicating experience
- Category Certificate, if applicable
- Sponsorship Letter, if applicable
- C.V. with details of work experience only (the C.V. should not be more than three pages)
