In which year campus recruitment happens for B Tech engineering students?

The campus interviews concept is very popular for the last 20 to 25 years. Initially, a few colleges are having this advantage. Only a few companies are going to colleges for recruitment. Those days many colleges were not having even placement cells. But over a period of time, recruitment by conducting interviews on campus is increasing.
Now almost all private colleges are having their own placement cell and they will be in contact with organisations and call them for an interview. One of my cousins is a Placement cell head at a very famous private university. Recently I met him. He organises some get together with industry partners and make presentations about the university and asked them to conduct interviews in their university. He will be organising workshops on his university campus and giving training to the student so that they will be ready to face the interviews.
The training and workshops will be conducted for the students of 2nd semester in the third year (2/3) or/ and for the students of 1st semester in 4th year
(1/4 )students. Organizations start their recruitment process for the same students. I know some students who got selected for a post when they are in 2nd semester of 3 years.
My brother's son got selected for a post in the first semester of his final year and he was given an internship opportunity during the 2nd semester of 4th year. His college gave such students an exemption for daily attending the college. By the time he finished his internship, his final year examinations will also be completed. He is expecting that he may be asked to join the job immediately after completing the course and internship.
I conclude by saying that the recruitment process will start for a student when he is in 2nd semester of 3rd year or in the 1st semester of 4th year of Engineering.

Nowadays many colleges start preparing their students for placement interview even from third year of the course so that they will be well prepared to face the interview as and when it is held. The placement cell team in the college also make a preliminary evaluation of their students and then guide them about accepting suitable job offers. Accordingly they will nominate the students for relevant employer and relevant jobs. This may not be everywhere but it is done in many colleges.
Many colleges use the facility and opportunity of internship, towards training and trial of placement offer later if it suits and is possible.

As a B Tech engineering student who graduated in 2021, I had the opportunity to experience the Campus recruitment process in my final year. This gave me a great platform to showcase my skills and knowledge and get a chance to be placed in a reputed organization. I was able to interact with recruiters and get a firsthand understanding of what the corporate sector is like and the kind of opportunities it offers. It was really an enriching and rewarding experience for me as I was able to find my dream job at the end of it.
