Is 1 year MBA from foreign universities equivalent to 2 year MBA in India?

I didn't even know that 1 year MBA programmes existed until recently! I was catching up with a friend from my old workspace and he was telling me about his applications for 1 Year MBA programmes in Canada. He explained to me in simple words how it is different from the traditional MBA programmes offered in Universities all over India. A 1 year MBA course offers the same courses that a 2-year course does but in less time, which means a very intense course. The 1-year course also leaves out time for internships, which I think is an essential part of the course as it provides you with on-site experience. A 2-year experience on the other hand allows you to spend more time with the courses and help you steer towards your area of liking in terms of career. After the discussion, we came to the conclusion that different people have their goals and may have their own reason for choosing either course.
After my own personal research and asking around, I came to realise that the courses are equivalent in terms of content and far different in terms of experience. A 1-year MBA programme in a foreign country will have intense course time, lesser tuition fees but higher cost of living, and an international experience to mingle with like-minded people from other parts of the world. The 2-year programme in India will give you more time to indulge yourself in the course and even do part-time work, time to avail for an internship, moderate tuition fee and less living cost compared to other parts of the world and a decent ROI.

Having completed a one-year MBA from a foreign university, I can confidently say that the program was challenging, yet highly rewarding. From my experience, I can say that the one-year MBA program was just as intensive as a two-year MBA program in India. In the span of just one year, I was able to master a variety of management and business topics, from basic accounting to marketing and economics. I also had the opportunity to learn from the best professors, gain a global perspective, and make meaningful connections with peers from all over the world.
The one-year MBA program was particularly beneficial to me, as it enabled me to gain a wealth of knowledge in a shorter period of time. The program was very well structured, and I was able to enhance my skills in a variety of ways, such as through case studies, internships, and projects. Furthermore, I was able to apply what I had learned to the real world and gain invaluable experience.
All in all, I believe that a one-year MBA from a foreign university is equivalent to a two-year MBA program in India. Despite the shorter duration, the program was able to provide me with the same level of knowledge and skills that I would have acquired from a two-year MBA program.

After completing a one-year MBA programme at a foreign university, I can tell with certainty that it was tough but also quite gratifying. According to my personal experience, the one-year MBA programme was equally as rigorous as the two-year MBA programmes in India. I was able to understand a range of management and business topics in just one year, from fundamental accounting to marketing and economics. I also had the chance to study with the top academics, broaden my perspective, and develop deep relationships with classmates from around the world.
I found the one-year MBA programme to be quite helpful because it allowed me to learn a great deal in a short amount of time. I was able to develop my abilities in a variety of ways, including through case studies, internships, and projects, thanks to the program's excellent structure. I was also able to put what I had learnt into practise and pick up priceless experiences.
