MBA is considered the most sought-after qualification for a Business Analyst job, but there is no compulsion. Any graduate from finance, statistics, maths, economics, commerce, and IT background is also eligible to apply for such jobs and selection in the private sector is mostly based on performance in the interview. Even if you don't have an MBA degree you can acquire skills like MS Excel and data science to land a job as a business analyst.

Any graduate having qualifications in business administration finance or accounting can gain experience in his field and then apply for business analyst jobs later based on their experience. Such jobs usually prefer candidates having a good amount of experience in business-related fields. You can add an MBA qualification later on along with the job because there are executive MBA programs available for working professionals. So, you don't need to worry about an MBA because there are many certificate courses available to gain skills related to business analyst roles and the corporate world prefers skilled candidates more than just degree holders.
